Pancake Dinner

Shrove Tuesday (also known as Pancake Tuesday, Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday) is the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.  Pancakes are eaten as they are made out of the main foods available: sugar, fat, flour and eggs, the consumption of which was traditionally restricted during Lent.

PIC welcomes the whole community to the Pancake Dinner to share this traditional celebration before Lent, and then to continue the journey of Lent as a season of penitence and reflection to the joyous Easter celebration.
